“What reason ye in your hearts?”

What reason ye…?

“What reason ye in your hearts?”

This was the question Jesus asked the Scribes and Pharisee’s in Luke 5:22, yet it is a good question for each one us to ponder. When we meditate on the Truths of the Scripture, we need to ask ourselves “What reason ye in your heart?” what do you think of Jesus and the Bible? If we do not accept His Word, as it is written, can we really say we believe it? Remember, it is “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Mt. 12:34, in part). It is important that we get the Word of God in our hearts, and not merely in our heads. Though it enters the head first, there must be an acceptance of that which we hear, and then it can be mixed with faith. It is the hearing of the Word, and the acceptance of the heart that brings us to Calvary. So, the question remains, “What think ye of Christ?” or as stated here, “What reason ye in your hearts?”
