Symphony in “F”
Feeling foot-loose and frisky, a feather-brained fellow forced his fond father to fork over the farthings, and flew to foreign fields, and fettered his fortune feasting fabulously with faithless friends.
Fleeced by his fellows in folly, and facing famine he found himself a feed flinger in a filthy farmyard. Fairly famishing, he fain would have filled his frame with foraged food from fodder fragments.
“Fooey, my father’s flunkies fare far finer,” the frazzled fugitive forlornly fumed, frankly facing the facts. Frustrated by failure, and filled with foreboding, he fled forthwith to find his family.
Falling at his father’s feet, he forlornly fumbled, “Father, I’ve flunked, and fruitlessly forfeited future family favor.” Finally, finding faith in the Father, “Freddy” forsook his foolishness and found favor with God.
The far-sighted father, forestalling further flinchings, frantically flagged the flunkies to fetch a fatling from the flock, and fix a favorable feast.
The fugitives’ fault finding brother frowned on the fickle forgiveness of former folderol, but the faithful father figured “Filial fidelity is fine, but the fugitive is found! What forbids further fervent festivities? Let the flags be unfurled, let the fanfares flare!”
And the Fathers forgiveness formed the foundation for the former fugitives’ future fortitude.

Bible Math
Bible algebra: Can you figure out this equation?

A Risen Savior
Written correctly:
3 (3) + M T tomb = A Risen Savior.
This equation shows us that there is math in the Bible. In fact, the Christian life is a life of addition and subtraction. We are to add to our faith (2 Peter 1: 5-7), and we are to subtract, or take away some things from our life (example: Gal. 5: 19-21). It is a life of multiplication (such as multiplying ourselves by winning others to Christ) and division (separation from the world and from the carnality of the flesh). Yes, there is math in the Bible, and we are to be master mathematicians in application of it, and we can be, by the grace of God. We can do all things through Christ which strengthen us. If it makes us stronger in our service, we can do it; if it makes us “stronger” in love for Christ, we can do it; if it makes us stronger in faith, we can do it, all through Christ who also is our strength.
I have always liked math—basic math, that is, and nothing is more basic than this Bible math. We need to apply these to our lives, and see that God is good in prospering us.
Jesus + you = others;
God + 1 = anything good;
God + Jesus + the Holy Spirit = security for me.
Man -- worldliness = purity;
Man – self = humility;
Man – sin = forgiveness;
1 God x 1 man = soul winning;
1 Savior x 1 man = salvation;

Little Things
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” (Son 2:15)
Thank God that He is the God of “little things” also. He blesses us in little ways, that many would laugh at, or be amused that we even mention it, but God takes care of the minor details before they become a major defeat. You see, we are alert to the important things, and we prioritize them and keep our guard up against them the best we can, but the little things, the seemingly insignificant things that go unnoticed and unattended seem to pass us by, and they amass themselves into mountains in our life. The “Little things” of life that seem to have no bearing on our service for the Lord, or have no connection with the spiritual realm, often pile up against us, and seek to destroy either our testimony or our attitude toward the Heavenly things. Take time to thank God for the “Little things” that He attends to on our behalf, and He will gladly see to the bigger and more destructive things that come our way.

Christ our all and in all.

Now, who/what do you run to when trials come? Does the Government meet your financial needs? Does sleeping with a gun under the pillow bring you security against crime? Do you go to friends or family when needs arise, or do you run to God? These questions are imperative to your faith.
In whom do you trust?

Many Mansions
Many Mansions
John 14:1-6
“In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2)
Where was Jesus going? To Calvary! Of course He was going to Heaven, but Calvary was where he provided a mansion for us. You see, the mansions already exist (v. 2 speaks of present tense), they are already waiting for us, and only God knows the number of them. A virtual Holy city--a city full of individual mansions, which are the proper dwelling for royalty! Jesus, in all actuality, prepared us for the mansion--He prepared a place for us in a mansion in Heaven. We must meet Him at Calvary first though before we can meet Him in Heaven; this refers us back to verse one: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” That is How we meet Jesus at Calvary. Until Christ died on the cross, we had no place in Heaven--no eternal life; Jesus had to go and prepare the way for us, and He is the Way; the “preparation“ is Calvary. (John 14:6).
If He goes (and He did go) he will doubtless come again to deliver us to our mansion--to take us to heaven to be with Him (v.3). The way has been prepared already. We know the way; we know that it is through Jesus that we will go to heaven and receive our mansion, because He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father” but by Him (v. 6).

The Bible
“What a Book is the Bible in the mere matter of variety of contents! Everything seems to be in it . . . poem, narrative, intelligence, judgment, battle, prayer, song, anathema, and benediction.”
“It might be added that it deals with themes moral, philosophical, astronomical, biological, ethical, legal, dramatic, prophetic, historic, poetic, and romantic.
“Continuing this line of thought I am reminded of an unknown writer's contribution which is very comprehensive. He says, in the Bible we read of the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, and the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers.
“Its doctrine is holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.
“Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.
“It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.
“It is the traveler’s map; the pilgrim's staff; the pilot's compass; the soldier's sword; and the Christian's charter.
“Here heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed.
“Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end.
“It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.
“Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully.
“It is a mine of wealth, health to the soul, and a river of pleasure.
